Details

Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) is a VERY Earthy herb with a robust and hard-to-forget scent. Some say it smells like soil has been made into a perfume, and others believe it has more of a musky smell. In any case, it has a STRONG earthy smell that most people either love or severely dislike. I’m not too fond of Patchouli’s fragrance because it smells like musk to me, and I’m not a musky scent lover.

So, why am I recommending Patchouli for your prosperity magick? Well, I just can’t deny that Patchouli is a POWERFUL ally when it comes to manifestation and money magick. It’s so very Earthy that it is super grounding, calming, and centering, yet it’s so powerful that it even lights the fire of lust and aids in fertility and love magick (hello, musky smell…). For our purposes, patchouli herb or essential oil can be sprinkled on money, placed in wallets or purses, and used for incense or to anoint green candles to help us manifest money.

Magickal Properties of Dried Patchouli Leaf

    • prosperity
    • manifesting
    • lust & sensuality
    • fertility & abundance
    • attracts love
    • protection

Famous for its distinct scent, Pogostemon cablin is a bushy herb native to the tropical climates of Asia. Patchouli is a member of the mint family and has been used for centuries in perfume and incense. Patchouli leaf can be used to scent incense blends, potpourri, botanical sachets, soaps, lotions, deodorants, and other skin care products.

Most people know patchouli as the ever-popular incense scent from the Sixties, when it seemed to be every flower child's favorite perfume. Its slightly musty, pungent smell is unmistakable and pervasive, and it was often used as a fixative for other scents, or to mask more objectionable scents.

The furry-leafed shrub grows to about four feet in its native Malaysia but can be grown as a houseplant throughout the world if you avoid the cold.
